Back end of Twins’ bullpen is struggling

It’s easy to see problems in the back end of the Twins’ bullpen. The number of hits are higher, the losses mounting, the earned-run averages ballooning. What it means, on the other hand, is less clear. Have closer Jhoan Duran and set-up man Griffin Jax run into serious trouble, or are their recent struggles simply part of life for a major-league reliever?“Both have been very good for us for a long time and they’ll adjust,” manager Rocco Baldelli said Wednesday after Jax (5-7) took the loss in an 8-7 setback to the Detroit Tigers at Target Field.Given a 4-3 lead to start the seventh inning, Jax got a quick out from No. 9 hitter Jake Rogers before running into big trouble. He walked Akil Badoo, gave up the tying run on a run-scoring triple by Riley Greene, then gave up back-to-back home runs to Spencer Torkelson and Kerry Carpenter to put the Twins behind 7-4.Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Jhoan Duran celebrates after striking out St. Louis Cardinals’ Taylor Motter to end a baseb...Manhattan man sentenced to 15 years on drug charges

Oakland-based Kaiser Permanente said it expects to invest $5 billion in Risant over the next five years, and to add as many as six more nonprofit health systems during that period.Industry experts believe KP’s aim is to build a big enough presence across the country to effectively compete with players like Amazon, Aetna CVS Health, Walmart Health, and...Investigation underway after man shot to death in South Gate
